Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in Scotland is a little different I guess you could say since they don't celebrate it. But the grocery stores definitely cater to Americans since there are so many in this town. They carry turkeys, cranberry sauce, cornmeal and breadcrumbs (to make stuffing) so really you can get what you need for a Thanksgiving meal pretty easily if you are willing to pay for it. We did have a very nice Thanksgiving dinner with some American, Australian and British friends. Travis, our friend and co-host, gave a nice history of the holiday for the non-American folks and Andrew and I ended up learning quite a bit that we had forgotten since elementary school. Here are a few pictures of the event.
