St Andrew's Festival Day 1

This weekend is the St Andrews Festival in honor of St Andrews Day which is on Monday. So naturally there are lots of events going on in town. This morning we went on the Pilgrimage Walk and learned all about the Christian pilgrims that would flock to town to see Saint Andrew's remains and the cathedral. We walked the path they would have taken on their journey and had a nice church history lesson from one of the professors in the Divinity school.

Tonight we went to the Town Lighting Switch On (as they call it) to see the Christmas lights illuminate the town. We think the whole town came out to see it.

Heading up to town...and yes it is 4:30 in the afternoon in this picture.

Andrew eating roasted chestnuts. Now we know what they taste like when we sing that Christmas song.

Video of the lighting. We want you to feel like you were there. Please don't laugh at the minimal amount of lights, the Fife Council tries hard.
