Today we met this wonderful lady named Pearl. She is a native of Scotland and lives just down the street from us. She and our friends who used to live here, the Masons, were good friends so we were told we needed to meet her. So we just walked on down there and knocked on her door and introduced ourselves. She invited us in and we chatted for a bit and got to know each other. Then as we got up to leave, she jumped up abruptly and said she would be right back. A few minutes later in she comes with 3 hand-knitted sweaters (here they are called jumpers) for the baby. We were quite taken back especially since we had met her only 15 minutes prior to this gift. These are the first baby clothes for our little one so we are thrilled. I was so impressed too by her skill. She said she did each of these in a day. Seriously...it is quite a talent. We are very thankful for our new friend!
